Any other food additive that can replace it or that is promising? As some people pointed out it's not considered safe anymore, but it seems like its brightening capabilities are difficult to replicate, so some industries outside Europe resist the change arguing there is nothing to replace it, so it's likely they won't change it unless it's also banned on the country they have their operations

Titanium dioxide is not considered as safe anymore, and is being banned in Europe.
I work in a titanium dioxide plant and I can tell You it's insane to think that it's safe. Did you know 100% hydrogen peroxide Chlorine Hydrochloric acid And every chemical known to man goes into the process of making titanium dioxide
It is even banned in petfood in Europe....
Just saw some other vids about it as I work in an ice hockey arena and we use it for our ice. It's apparently carcinogenic. And can be harmful
